Evening primrose oil powder is cold manufactured by the proprietary microencapsulation technology which protect the oil against oxidation, heat and light, also prevent possible chemical reactions with mixtures.
Natural Source: The omega-3,6,9 series is derived from flaxseed oil, perilla seed oil, DHA algae oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, evening primrose oil, borage oil, canola oil, and high oleic sunflower oil, among others.
Superior Stability: Utilizing food-grade encapsulation materials, omega-3,6,9 products are available in microencapsulated powder and emulsion forms, significantly enhancing ingredient stability and shelf life.
Excellent Water Dispersion: Both microencapsulated powders and emulsions disperse rapidly in water, ensuring consistent and reliable integration into various applications.
Broad Applications: The omega-3,6,9 series is widely used in meal replacement foods, dietary supplements, infant formula foods, and specialized nutritional products.
Tailored Formulations: We offer customized microencapsulated omega-3,6,9 blends, tailored to your specific needs regarding ratios, particle sizes, encapsulation materials, and other unique requirements.

It means the finished powder contains approximately 50% evening primrose oil by weight. The remaining portion consists mainly of encapsulating or carrier materials that convert the liquid oil into a stable, free-flowing powder.
The gamma-linolenic acid content depends on the GLA concentration of the original evening primrose oil. For example, if the oil contains 9–10% GLA, a 50% oil powder would typically provide approximately 4.5–5% GLA in the finished powder. The exact value should be confirmed by the product specification and COA.
Common carrier systems may include gum arabic, modified starch, maltodextrin or protein-based materials. Vegan, dairy-free and clean-label versions can be developed using suitable plant-based wall materials, depending on the required oil loading, dispersibility and target market.
It is suitable for:
Women’s health supplements
Beauty-from-within formulas
Functional beverage powders
Sachets and stick packs
Meal-replacement powders
Powder-filled capsules
Nutritional premixes
The powdered format is generally easier to blend, dose and package than liquid evening primrose oil.
The evening primrose oil is encapsulated within a protective wall matrix, helping reduce direct exposure to oxygen, light and moisture. Key quality parameters may include peroxide value, acid value, surface oil, moisture, oil content and microbiological limits. Nitrogen-flushed, light-resistant packaging is recommended for improved shelf-life stability.
